Move all contextual content from the left nav column to the right nav column, including the "recent posts" and calendar. This clears the left nav bar for navigation.
Move the top navigation to the left nav bar. This makes it more obvious and easy to access for left-to-right readers.
Change the navigation to a hierarchical menu. Possibly use the dymo font, for top-level items at least

This allows people to get where they want to in around 3 clicks (the magic number).
It makes navigation more obvious and easier to navigate.
It emphasizes logging in.
"Sign in" should be leftmost item or otherwise made very, very obvious.
Remove the "about" or make a single line at the top.
Move the photos to the bottom of the page.
Move the latest characters, scripts, and sketches to the top.
Then blog posts.
So layout like:
Drive people to log in and get into the creative sections. Photo and blog are passive and already easily accessed from main blog itself.

make it much easier to click through to an episode. Usually I click on the person's name instead….
move listings to top, explanation at bottom.
make series bible obvious link at top or side of each page.
