Here's my take on what could happen next and how The Joneses could evolve.

Dawn and Ian are driving back home they have the realisation that they have walked away from a crime scene. They get out the car panicking they walk past a tv shop and see their faces on a Crime Watch/American style tv show, next photos of their siblings flash up on screen as they do the word "deceased" is stamped on the screen.

Dawn and Ian read the subtitles

Subtitles:

The pair known as "The Joneses" were last seen heading South in a Purple Ford S-Max the public are warned to approach with caution they are armed and dangerous..

We see security camera footage of Dawn and Ian jumping into the car

..This was found at the crime scene

// a whistle//

Ian:

Hey that's mine!

Subtitles:

This belongs to the male who police are now calling "Whistler Jones"

Ians face looks confused and as he see's these words his lips puckers up to whistle, zoomed in security footage comes back screen of Dawn and Ian (very blurred)

Ian:

I need to shave!

Dawn Calmly pokes at her hair

Dawn:

(Shocked ) Yeah, I need to get these roots done (Points at tv) look at them! Big Brother maybe watching us but at least he could have the descensy to film our best side!

Ian:

We need to go Dawn!

Dawn:

Why? We haven't done anything. It was Cherry!

Ian:

They'll come after you though

Dawn:

Why?

Ian reaches into a tin and pulls out a photograph of Cherry

Ian:

Look!..you're practically the same person!

Dawn:

(Panic)Oh my God! They'll think it's me! (Anger) I'm not doing time for anyone! I don't want to be asked to ( Does air quotes) pick up soap. I've heard what it's like, My Uncle Alan told me all about it, he did time for killing a swan! No no no no I'm no ones bitch!

They jump in the car Dawn in the passenger

Dawn:

Drive Ian, drive like the wind!

Ian:

I can't

Dawn:

Oops I forgot

They both jump out really quickly and swap places

Dawn:

Let's go!

They drive off into the distance

• The title "Where are The Joneses" could have different meaning
• We could follow two detectives on the hunt for Dawn and Ian in a documentry style
• WRTJ could be filmed like a tv comedy drama and the show could be interspursed with scenes of Dawn and Ian watching the Detectives Documentry
• Having a Documentry revolving around the hunt for two alledged serial killers is ridiculous, but will this be tv in the future? (crack the funny but also make a point)

Anyway, loved the ending to WRTJ, very well done to all the team. Emma and Neil were superb and also that woman who played Cherry she was good too!

I created the character Jack for a little online series i have been creating myself on youtube, but i think he could fit well into 'where are the joneses'.

How much cooler would it be if they:

• Robbed a bank (and got caught)
• Did a little dine and dash (have to wash dishes afterwards)
• Worked as tour guides in an area they are totally unfamiliar with. Imagine Ian and Dawn on a tour. Dawn keeps interrupting the guide. The disgruntled tour guide finally reaches his/her end and yells at Dawn, "Fine! If you know so much, you do the tour! Tell the man back at the base that you are filling in for me today!" Then, of course, Dawn proceeds to make crap up (as she is so good at doing), while Ian poorly answers random questions she throughs at him. "So during the great Italian civil war of 1000 BC, the rebels sang their famous battle cry, could you sing a few bars of that for me Ian?". "Um, alright…I…am a rebel, I fight with my knife and shield, and my enemies flee in great fear, of the great weapon I weild". "Did they sing in English Ian?" "Um…no, that is just my translation." etc.

Ooh, I've forgotten about Ian's lottery ticket. Perhaps that is about to come in handy. A tad too deus ex machina for my taste, I hope it's not much money.

1/ Why did Ian not say goodbye to his Dad (Man who brought him up)

2/ What's the connection with Cherry?

3/Why does he keep hold of that tin?

4/ Was there a different reason for running when Dawn broke the news?

5/ Why did Ian take his Passport down to the lobby he said it was because they might mistake him for a tramp or is there another reason?

6/ is he really Ian Wollak?

If anyone want's to jump in and answer them or add some it'd be great it'll get our brains ticking.

One of his most annoying traits is the way he grabs people's arms when he is talking to them, just a little too tactile and invading or your personal space and can't helping looking straight into Jonti's camera and smiling inanely.
This is his opening gambit whenever and I mean whenever someone asks him about his unusual name.
"Well you see my dear I don't see it as unusual. My name is me, it defines me and in all three stages of my life, when I was a kid we used to go to Rhyll all the time for holidays, and whilst there I used to love eating rock, couldn't get enough of it esp. the pineapple so you could say I loved rock, for breakfast, lunch, supper, dinner and tea….and snacks. As I grew up and reached my teens I started listening to a lot of music Motorhead, Machinehead, usually metal bands ending in head, you could say I 'loved rock'. And now in the twilight of my life I like nothing more than chipping away at a piece of sandstone to reveal the beautiful schist below. So my dears when I say to you 'I am Troy Loverock' I am not defining my name, my name defines me".

I'd forgotten about Bubblr until this morning. It's an online tool that pulls in Flickr photos into a cartoon strip format and then lets you put speech bubbles. It's all done in Flash, so I've asked wikidot if they can add the service so that we can embed the flash cartoons here.

To try it - go to Bubblr and enter the flickr tag 'wherearethejoneses' and all the images will roll in. The Joneses user name doesn't seem to work for me.

What personality traits do you think siblings could have that would clash with Dawn and Ians?

Examples:

Someone who is a sceptic when it comes to Dawn Phycic beliefs

Someone is a bit of a bully maybe picks on Ian, hides his tin mocks his hobbies etc. (Ian would have to get the better and come out of it stronger though, Ian's nice )

I think we need some sisters soon for Dawn to bond/clash with.

I found this quite interesting.

This could be something Dawn could do, people who do this always apologise when called up about it.

"Sorry it's just something I do, I just pick up people accents straight away, I can't help it"

It might be true of these type of people but it always still feel like they're mock mimicing.

I think this could be funny.

The door opens, they walk out. Ian is clutching an icepack to his forehead.

After appearing on the Channel 4 News and their website yesterday (9 July) and a full page spread in today's Guardian newspaper (10 July), we need to find a Jones wiki contributor to go out to meet the Joneses team on the road with Channel 4 news and appear in an episode.

I've just had another thought get Katers17 involved, who is Katers17?

She's one of the stars of Youtube with 18730 subscribers and 938,663 channel views so far.

She would also make a great Jones as she has good knowledge of all things Fantasy and is into computer games something in common with Ian but obviously Ian likes the dice.

She's from the UK too. Fly her out somewhere and give her a part. she very quirky and very creative.

Here are my 4 favorites:

Toothless John: Had about 3 teeth and carried a trashbag. Mumbled so horribly that I had no idea what he was saying.
Airbag Phil: Had gotten into a car wreck the night before, drunk driving with a buddy (neither had licenses), and had a huge red mark covering the right side of his face, where the airbag had hit him.
Pamphlet Paul: Dirty smelly guy touring the US, pursuing his dream of writing pamphlets (not books,…pamphlets), and had been shot at by gansters the week before. He was heading home to see his 3rd wife, a deaf lady with 5 kids.
Debbie: I happen to be driving by her when she was going to and from her sisters house on two separate days. She wore waaaay too much old lady perfume, but seemed like a very strong woman for how little and old she was. She must have been to walk as far as she did with such a heavy bag.
